No, indeed. In what, then?
I will boast in my weaknesses. Because God's grace is sufficient, and in weakness He makes His power perfect. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me!
I will boast that I know God. For thus says the Lord—Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.
And, most importantly, I will boast in the Gospel. Why? God explains it like this: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Therefore, I will boast, and I will boast gladly this weekend. But, as Paul says, far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
