- First met outside Ford's Theatre in Washington DC.
- A mutual friend's Mom in California "set them up"... when Garrett and Alison were both living in DC.
- Garrett is a Park Ranger, Alison is a student at Georgetown.
- They have, by far the most awkward first kiss story EVER.
- They're over that now. :)
- Their first date involved a very romantic hike along a very romantic river in the Shenandoah Valley. Garrett proposed in that same spot a few months later.
