My grandfather passed away this evening.
I will write more about it later. For now, we hold to these words:
Blessed
be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies
and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the comfort with which
we ourselves
are comforted by God.
For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings,
so through Christ we share
abundantly
in comfort, too.
— 2 Cor. 1:3-5 —
Blessed

Praying that comfort would surround you and your family.
Oh Sarah ~ my heart goes out to you. In every bit of honesty and even though I have never met you and don't personally *know* you [though I have good friends who do] I wish I could give you a big hug right now. Ever as soon as I read the news you and your family were lifted to the throne of grace for comfort during this time.
About a month and a half ago, when I was in Colorado at IPS courses, my grandfather passed away too. Before I left I knew that I might never see him again. Even now tears flow. Little things become big because he's no longer there to share them with me.
I feel your pain, because I've been there and am still there.
So sorry for this long comment. Just wish I could wrap you in hugs at this moment, and bring comfort to your heart. But I know God can and will do that ~ so I will pray earnestly for you that the Almighty will wrap you in His arms and give you the oil of joy for mourning.
Love you girl...you inspire me, in many ways.
In Christ,
Ruth Ann
Dear Sarah,
It's been awhile since I visited your blog, and when I saw this post I wanted to let you know that I feel your pain too....my grandpa passed away in June.
Praying for you and your family today that you all would be comforted by our loving Comforter.
In Christ,
Allison
